Living in Forest Hills is a unique blessing.  It is more than a lovely neighborhood located in a suburb community to the larger cities of Huntsville and Decatur.  Forest Hills is a community of people who live together in friendship and cooperation. 

 

To drive through the neighborhood is to see neighbors out walking dogs together and standing on the sidewalks talking to one another.  It is seeing families playing tennis and grandparents headed to the pool because their grandkids are visiting.  It is stopping to see how many crawfish a 4-year-old caught in the stream and having an intelligent conversation with a 10-year-old about pink 'bubble gum' worms that work with the many fish in our beloved Piney Creek. 

 

Our lot sizes offer room to breathe!  Our generous lots vary from 1/2 an acre to over an acre.  The welcoming shade tree is a picture of the respite that our special place offers to the busy work that is outside our rock walls.  Fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and even paddle boarding have been enjoyed by our residents on our tranquil stream.  When our saltwater pool gets warm in August, many of our children have loved taking a dip in the cool swimming holes of Piney Creek.
